Blossom Peacock

Amaryllis

Blossom Peacock is the most-recent addition to the portfolio.Blossom Peacock Amaryllis
The light came from an East facing window.
This lovely amaryllis is my first print on Platine Fibre.
Thanks to the Canson Infinity website, my Epson Stylus

Photo R3000 was configured correctly.
Sadly, all the blooms faded just before Christmas.

Thalia

Narcissus Print

I am now proofing my latest brushwork, Thalia.
I photographed the narcissus triandrus in my own garden.
Artwork created in Photoshop and Corel Painter.

The first test print is on Moab Anasazi Canvas Premium Matte 350.
I like the texture and brightness of this media.
For the second print, I tried Museo Max 250 gsm.
This paper is 100% cotton and with no optical brighteners.
The flowers are a tad bit darker but still excellent.

Shirley Update

Museo Portfolio Rag

Shirley triumph tulip is my first print on Museo Portfolio Rag.
This paper has a lovely look and feel.
To prepare the image, I downloaded the ICC profile from the Museo website.
Then I read the description of each paper, which includes applications and specifications.

Before printing, I removed the distracting brushstrokes from the background and made it slightly darker.
This tulip is stunning.

The Portfolio Rag is perfect for the Shirley prints.

Victoria Cyclamen Print

MOAB Entrada Rag Bright

The weather is getting cooler, and I’m slowly getting back to printing.
On a whim, I decided to proof the Victoria cyclamen image on MOAB Entrada Rag Bright.
The black background looks velvety, and the details on the Victoria petals and leaves are sharp.

When dry and ready, it will be mounted with a white, 11 x 14 museum board with an 8 x 10 opening.
The new print option will be included in the Gallery

Late Lilac

Tall bearded iris

The iris collection is growing, and they now have their own index.
This will make it easier to find a specific variety.
I collect different species and added several new ones this year.
Occasionally, I will include an iris I liked in a garden other than my own.
Late Lilac is from my own collection.
